Bring Sites are essentially local recycling facilities which accept certain pre-sorted household waste. They are a convenient way for Wakefield residents to recycle their everyday items.
Most sites are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we would ask that where recycling Bring Sites are located in residential areas, you recycle between the hours of 8am and 10pm to minimise any noise disturbance to residents.
There are no restrictions on quantities of recycled materials that can be placed in the appropriate containers provided there is available capacity. All materials collected via these facilities are helping to reduce our reliance on landfill and in some instances provide substantial additional revenue opportunities for recognised charitable organisations.
Please also ensure that your materials are placed in containers which are clearly labelled as belonging to Renewi or Wakefield Council and/or a recognised charitable organisation you wish to support. Unmarked or non affiliated containers around the district may well be profiteering to the detriment of the local community and their final use may not be known, if in doubt please call 0345 8 506 506 for further information.
