Technical Manager

Your key responsibilities
  • Manage the laboratory with regards to the staff, sampling, analysis, stock control, use of contractors and external bodies.
  • Responsible for COSHH assessments, training of operational personnel in lab techniques, issue and review of lab risk assessments.
  • Monitor, report and resolve process issues in conjunction with the operational teams.
  • Responsible for the site process management including trackers, dashboards, and control charts.
  • Realise productivity targets in the most cost-effective manner.
What we're looking for :
  • Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, environmental or scientific discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a technical and/or environmental management role for an industrial process.
  • Experience of laboratory testing and process sampling.
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to forward plan and meet deadlines
